Adv Review: Service for Its Own Sake

Though available online to subscribers only, Gerald Colvin’s short article, Service for Its Own Sake, makes a salient point about “small” acts of service. He relates the words of Francis Collins, M.D. after saving a farmer’s life in a hospital in Africa:

We are each called to reach out to others. On rare occasions that can happen on a grand scale, but most of the time it happens in simple acts of kindness of one person to another. Those are the events that really matter (Adventist Review, p. 23; originally from The Language of God).
